Northern Isfahan Petro-Refinery Complex (NIPRC) is a private joint-stock company established in Northern Isfahan Province, Iran, with the aim to operate a refinery plant with an estimated daily production capacity of 150,000 barrels of crude oil, two petrochemical plants, olefin and aromatic, and seven chemical sub-plants.

Site for Execution of Project:
Isfahan Province, the center of Iran, 95 KM northeast of Isfahan on a piece of land with an area of 2,400 hectares.
Reasons for Selection of the Project Site:
The site for execution of the project has been studied and selected based on a large number of criteria the most important of which include:
1. Location at the center of the country with security considerations,
2. Location in the vicinity of the oil pipelines running through the country,
3. Location in the vicinity of gas pipelines running through the country,
4. Location in the vicinity of the major national highways, main transit roads and north-south as well as east-west corridors,
5. Location in the vicinity of major national railroads,
6. Enjoying the potential and actual capabilities of Isfahan Province, a major industrial zone in the country,
7. Possibility to employ the expert manpower in Isfahan Province,
8. Possibility to supply the water needed for the project due to being located near the Zayandehrood, a major river and other water supplies in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, a major water supply region in the country,
9. Location near Salafchegan unique economic zone and the possibility of benefit from Customs exemption on imports and exports,
10. Compliance with environmental restrictions and preservation of natural resources, etc.

3. Permit from IRI Environmental Protection Organization.
