About Owner

Mr. Gholamali Sartaj was born in Masjedsoleiman in 1947, Khouzestan Province, Southern Iran, where the first oil well was drilled by a British Darcy, a100 years ago. Having finished his elementary education, he relocated to his aboriginal hometown Isfahan where his parents had been born. From an early age, while he went to school, enthusing over business, he started learning the basics of business in a relative’s shopping arcade. In 1967, he personally set out on his business by starting a company established to supply the goods needed by oil refineries and oil-drilling companies and gradually by being appointed as agent by such leading US and European companies as George Angus, German Johnson, British ICC, etc, he proceeded to import and sell other items needed by such major industrial manufacturers as Zobeahan, Neishekare Haft-Tappeh, etc.
Following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, thanks to the reforms made in business in the country, he decided to invest in a chemical manufacturer leading to the establishment of Imentashe Sepahan Company. Operative for about 30 years, the company, recently renamed Tash Industrial Group, with 40 products and an operating production capacity of 35,000 metric tons, created 120 jobs by undergoing expansion. Such products of the company as a variety of drilling foams, anti-foams, fire-fighting foams, variants of CMC and silicones are largely used in drilling and extraction in oil industries and excavations metro. This has caused the Oil Company to supply locally a large number of items which it previously supplied from abroad. Awarded internationally-recognized certificates and certifications, Tash Industrial Group has managed to establish itself as an exemplary local business unit.
Then in 1996 by launching a number of studies of textile industries, it came up with the project for construction of a textile plant, whereupon Maanriss Textile Company was registered and made operational. The project became operational on an investment in foreign currency of Twenty Million US $ with an aim to annually produce 4,300 MT of fine yarn grade 30 and above. The project machinery was purchased from Rieter, one of the world’s largest and leading Swiss manufacturers of textiles industries machinery, utilizing the state-of-the-art technology. Thanks to its superior quality products, Maanriss has managed to become an exemplary business unit nationally. Studies of the Maanriss Textile Expansion Project, currently undergoing the final stage of L/C opening, with an investment of over 30 Million Euros, became operative in 2007 to increase the annual production capacity up to 11,500 MT of a whole range of fine mixed yarns (cotton, polyester, viscose).
